Hey there! Welcome to TeaCurious, a blog & online resource for people who love exploring tea.
My name is Rie Tulali, and I’m pretty serious about tea. I’m not from any ancient tea-making family, or anything, nor do I have any tea certifications. I’m just one girl who picked up the kettle one day, and never could stop exploring tea…
I’ve been studying tea obsessively since 2008, including 3 years I spent in the wholesale tea business, working directly with small family farms in Asia. I look forward to sharing some of what I’ve learned here in TeaCurious, through awesome articles, guides, and illustrations, and through both my successes and failures as I keep experimenting, messing up, and discovering new things in tea.
I sure hope this won’t just be about me, though… I mean, it’s always better to learn tea together. I hope to make TeaCurious a place for the community, where we can share our opinions, knowledge, and good laughs about tea with a light-hearted spirit.
In the meantime, stay tuned as I’ve got tons of awesome content planned in the next few months, including some exciting community projects we might be able to work on together!
I also host tastings and classes on tea. I’ve presented at tea festivals across the US, most recently at Midwest Tea Fest, Pennsylvania Tea Fest, and Brooklyn Coffee & Tea Festival. I also write about tea, and have written for publications such as Tea Journey Magazine and for The Tea House Times. Nowadays, I teach a weekly class at Tea & Whisk here in Las Vegas, called Tea With Rie.
Anyway, if there’s anything you’d like to chat about or see on the site, drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you, and I appreciate you!
Let’s explore this amazing world of tea, together.
